Large-Fabric Sculpted Dog or specific breed Sculpture Workshop (3 Sessions)

Come and create this fabulous dog sculpture. The workshop is spread over three sessions because once the armature is constructed and the fabric applied, it is usually too late in the day to begin working on the features, which are the most important part of any sculpture.

If you have previous experience in my 3D sculpture workshops, you may choose to complete all the “wet” work in one day; however, I would not recommend this, and the fee would remain the same.

The “Large” size does cover specific breeds, please state which one you wish to create when you book.

You will also need to bring several photographs with your dog in a sitting position.

Come and create a fabulous Dog Sculpture.

These Dogs  are created from a recycled bottle and recycled fabrics.

We are aiming to create a characterful creature not aiming for utter realism

He is approximately 13 to 16″ tall.

You will be shown how to take a recycled bottle,  add contours and turn it into this beautiful sculpture using Powertex and Recycled Fabrics.

I will lead you through the process step by step to create the armature and then clothe it in fabric sculpting.

Finally the colouring process which is always the Wow! factor in Powertex which is done two or three days later to allow the sculpture to fully dry.

Day 1: Full Day: create the armature and start the fabric sculpting 10:00am until 5:00pm

Day 2: complete the fabric sculpting if applicable and add the stone art clay features

Day 3: at least 2/3 days later to allow for drying –  2/3 hours colouring, this must be booked at time of booking workshop.

(In the summer months it may be sufficient to only wait a day before attempting the colouring)

I am happy to run the colouring session on an evening if that makes it easier for you

2 persons minimum.

Once fully dry this can be displayed in your garden with an extra coat of spray clear satin varnish.

The colouring session must be booked at the time of booking the workshop.

Please note I have found that the more people on the course the later the course runs please allow for the workshop to be later than advertised.
